These sensors are the industry standard for DIY gas detection. They all work on a similar principle: a built-in heater warms up an internal chemical sensor, which changes its electrical resistance when it encounters specific gas molecules. You can use the Analog Output (AO) to measure the exact concentration of gas, or the Digital Output (DO) to trigger an alarm when a threshold is crossed.
